A gentleman brought me a quality rug for cleaning a few days ago. He had attempted to clean the rug himself, but unfortunately his efforts had made matters much worse. It was successfully cleaned and restored to its former glory using my 7 point cleaning process.
Firstly, the rug was thoroughly vacuumed to remove service dirt and grime.
Secondly, the rug was pre-sprayed using a prespotter.
Thirdly, the rug was agitated using a sebo duo (mechanical rotating brush) to help loosen the remaining dirt .
Fourthly, the rug was cleaned using the hot water extraction method, augmented with an inline steaming attachment to remove ingrained soiling and dirt.
Fifthly, the rug was sprayed with a finishing spray to, set the dyes and prevent them from running, to neutralise the alkaline prespotter, to kill any fungal spores and dust mites and to give the rug a fresh smell.
Sixthly, the rug was thoroughly dried.
