Always keen on improving my services to my customers, I have recently invested in a residue pump (puddle pump) which I can use to remove water in flooded properties. This powerful pump will remove water to a depth of 1mm. Any remaining water can be removed using the vacuum motors on my carpet cleaning machine. I am pleased to say that I can now take payment by debit and credit cards!
Today I received my new card reader from Sumup. Simply downloaded the Sumup app from the app store and my smartphone can now be used to take payment by credit and debit cards. This new facility will provide another convenient payment method for my customers. You have to move with the times and being able to extend your payment methods is essential in business today. This is a very safe payment method and I am now waiting for my first credit / debit card transaction.

Pub gets flooded out in flash flood
Spent sometime on an emergency call out yesterday. The Clock and Key pub at Trispen got flooded as the result of a flash flood. The water streamed in from the car park area, straight through the rear door flooding the bar area. Removed a lot of debris and dirt from the carpet. Certainly looked and smelt a whole lot better by the time I had left. It is hard enough these days in business to keep your head above water without these types of unwelcome occurrences. Nonetheless the pub was able to open again as usual. It is always great to help people when in need.
Rob is a great landlord and the Clock and Key is a great pub, well worth a visit, with a friendly atmosphere and good food and beer. I would highly recommend it.
